To switch plans in VilaNet, open Server Nodes, where the current package is shown at the top, and use Change next to it to select another package that is still active. The server list then follows that package. After a plan change, addresses and servers change, so refresh the list.
Official VilaNet fetches servers itself. You do not press Activate in the client area, and you do not import a subscription link into another client.
VilaNet on a phone or computer
- After you sign in, select the server card on the home screen to open Server Nodes. This screen is the same on Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, and iPhone or iPad.
- Read the current package at the top, select Change, and pick another active package. The list switches to that package's servers.
- If the app says the current package has no servers, pull to refresh the list. If it is still empty, the subscription is usually expired or not active. Renew at vilavpn.com, then connect.
- After you switch plans, refresh the list once more, because the addresses and servers have changed.
- Choose a server, return home, and select Connect until the status is Connected. See how to choose a server.
Other clients
- VilaX client: it does not use that Change control. Every active service's servers are in one list. Scroll to the server you want.
- Apple TV: when the account has more than one package, pick the package on the Servers page first. That package's servers then appear. The TV has no pull-to-refresh; use Refresh. No packages available means you are signed in but have no active package; usually the subscription expired. Renew at vilavpn.com, then refresh.
- Command line: run vilanet-cli list packages. If you have not set a default package, connect uses the first package that still has traffic left. To pick one for this connection, add --package and the ID from list packages. See the command line and the CLI guide.
- First connection on a Merlin router: the VilaNet page is in English. Open Servers and, under Package, select Auto package. It chooses an available package for the account. See OpenWrt or Merlin.
- The older VilaVPN client supports only the older V2Ray service. It does not support VilaNet (VilaX) plans. Use VilaNet. See which app to use.
How to tell it worked
The server list shows servers for the package you just selected, the home screen says Connected, and one ordinary HTTPS website loads.
Still not working?
- You bought a new service and the old one is suspended or out of data: in the app, select a server under the new active service. If it still does not work, contact support from the client area. See I already paid, why can't I use it?
- Switching the whole product to another service in the client area is not the in-app Change control. See Can I switch between different services?
- The list has servers but they will not connect: read Cannot connect. If the service is suspended, read the plan is suspended.
