How to Install VilaNet on macOS

  1. Download VilaNet.

  2. Move VilaNet into the Applications folder. If you run it from Downloads or Desktop, it will not work.

  3. Open VilaNet from Applications.

  4. When prompted that “VilaNet would like to use a new network extension,” click “Open System Settings” (not “OK”). 

  5. Do one of the following:

    • macOS Sequoia 15+: System Settings > General > Login Items & Extensions > Extensions > Network Extensions > info icon next to VilaNet > toggle on Network Extension, then authenticate with your passcode. 

    • macOS Ventura/Sonoma: System Settings > Privacy & Security > allow the VilaNet system software, then authenticate. 

  6. Return to VilaNet and connect.
