We’re aware of ongoing connection failures (including cases where the connection gets stuck). At first, we believed this was introduced by a recent app release, but further investigation confirmed the root cause was an upstream ruleset provider update, which impacted PAC mode behavior.
What to do now
1. Please upgrade to v2.8.8 immediately, then open the app and go to:
Settings → (4th tab) → “Reset Default Settings”
2. If your VPN profile is already stuck, do this first:
System Settings / Settings → VPN → Vila VPN → (i) → turn OFF “On-Demand”, then reconnect.
