Confirm the device can open ordinary websites with VilaNet disconnected, keep the first error, then try Fastest under Auto-Select once. Reinstalling or changing settings over and over can erase the evidence needed to see why it failed.
Do this in order
- Write down the selected server, the final connection status, and the exact error.
- Disconnect VilaNet.
- Open two familiar HTTPS websites and confirm the internet works without VilaNet.
- Return to VilaNet. On the main screen, tap the selected server to open Server Nodes.
- In the Auto-Select group, choose Fastest. VilaNet returns to the main screen.
- Select Connect once, then wait. Do not tap it again and again.
- If it fails again, stop retrying. Collect diagnostics before you reinstall or change advanced settings.
How to tell it is fixed
VilaNet shows Connected, stays connected, and ordinary websites load. Before you treat the problem as solved, finish Confirm VilaVPN is working.
Still not working?
- Ordinary websites also fail while VilaNet is disconnected: restore the device's own connection first. This is not yet a VilaNet test.
- VilaNet stays on Connecting or returns an error: keep that state and the selected server. Open Contact Support from Menu and send it with Include app diagnostics turned on. For an account issue, sign in and open a ticket at the client area. See Contact support and how to send a ticket with diagnostics from VilaNet.
- VilaNet shows Plan suspended: the plan is paused because of BitTorrent use, and VilaNet shows the earliest time it can resume. Wait until that time, or read what to do when the plan is suspended.
- VilaNet says Connected but pages do not load: read Connected, but websites do not load.
- Only one server fails: go back to Auto Select and name that server when you contact support.
- You want the full checklist: read Troubleshooting Connectivity Issues — start here.
