Settings are now four tabs: Connection, Split tunnel, Updates, and Account. There is no Save button. Changes are saved as you make them. On Windows, the window's close button does not quit. The VPN stays connected. To quit, use Quit on the tray menu.
What is on the four tabs
On a phone, open Settings with the gear at the top right, or from Menu. A wide computer window keeps navigation on the left. A narrow window moves the same items into Menu.
| Tab | What it holds |
|---|---|
| Connection | VPN package. Desktop builds also have a section for that system, such as TUN Mode and Proxy Mode under macOS or Windows. Android also has Background Protection. The tab also has Auto-Reconnect, Connection activity, Connection help, and Advanced Settings. |
| Split tunnel | The split-tunnel switches. A control you used to see elsewhere is often under Advanced Settings, or under more split-tunnel settings on this tab. |
| Updates | Periodic refresh, and announcement notices when the app opens. See the next section. |
| Account | The sign-in email and About. |
If you change a setting while connected and it needs a new connection, the top of the page shows Changes apply on the next connection and Reconnect now. The change is used immediately only after you select Reconnect now.
The bug icon at the top right opens Diagnostics. Contact Support is in the menu. Leave Include app diagnostics on when you write.
Menu, theme, and language
- Menu items: Main Page on a wide computer window, Servers, Settings, Invoices, Contact Support, Announcements, and Check Updates. Below those: Theme Mode, Language, and Logout.
- Check Updates is hidden on App Store and Google Play installs. Update those from the store. The current Windows installer is also on the official downloads page.
- Theme Mode: light, dark, or follow the system.
- Language: follow the system, English, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Russian, Arabic, Vietnamese, Persian, or Korean.
Logout opens a dialog titled Confirm asking Are you sure you want to logout? Confirm returns to the login page. That signs out of the account. It does not close the Windows window into the tray.
Periodic refresh and announcements
Open Settings > Updates.
- Periodic refresh updates subscription data and the server list in the background. Intervals: 1 hour, 3 hours, 6 hours, 12 hours, 1 day, 3 days, or 7 days. This stays inside the official app. Do not paste a subscription link into another program.
- Another switch shows the latest announcement when the app opens. The popup can be always, daily, weekly, or monthly. Ticket replies and invoices have their own switches.
Windows: closing the window leaves the VPN on
The close button (X) hides the window in the tray at the lower right. The VPN keeps running. To quit completely, right-click the tray icon and choose Quit. The connection ends when that icon is gone.
Uneven Chinese stroke weight on the same line is the app's display. Install the current Windows build from Check Updates or the downloads page above. Do not change Windows language, region, or fonts.
Common places

How to tell it worked
- Settings shows Connection, Split tunnel, Updates, and Account, and there is no Save button.
- While connected, change one setting. The top shows Changes apply on the next connection. After Reconnect now, the main page returns to Connected in blue.
- On Windows, after you click close, the tray icon is still there and the window still says Connected when you open it again. After you right-click and choose Quit, the icon is gone.
Still not working?
- If a control is in neither Advanced Settings nor Split tunnel, tell support what it used to be called and what you are trying to do. Do not change the device DNS to test this.
- The same layout is in the install guides: Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS.
- Domain and website rules: domain rules. Sign-in: how to sign in.
